PARROTT STREET

Located along one of the most charming streets in Cold Spring, NY, the property had a steeply sloped rear yard that did not allow for the young family to play with their children on the lawn. GF/A extended the existing stone patio and created a new retaining wall to create a gently sloped landscape. Particular attention was paid to the stone cobble retaining walls to make them appear to have existed throughout the home. New planting beds and large bluestone steps were situated within the landscape. A new widened driveway to allow for modern cars to access the existing garage and cedar pergola covered with vines completed the exterior renovation.

In 2018, GF/A was commissioned to create a new custom kitchen that echoed the 1920s original architecture. GF/A allowed for traditional detailing to mingle with an updated contemporary appeal. A new arched opening was created echoing existing details throughout the home. A new pantry, radiant floors with stone tile and custom shaker cabinetry were installed throughout.
